Optimise Energy Use Today
Enhance your home's energy efficiency with Thermal Survey Cheshire, specialists based in Sandbach, CW11. Our thermal imaging technology identifies heat loss and insulation issues, providing you with actionable insights to improve comfort and reduce energy bills.
Thermal imaging surveys are most effective during the central heating season. Outside colder months, we work with homeowners who are planning improvements and want to make choices that reduce energy use and environmental impact. To find out more visit our sister company Home Energy Advice. This includes independent advice on heat pumps, insulation and whole-home upgrades. We consider upfront costs, long-term energy use and the environmental footprint of different options. The aim is simple: to help you make changes that actually make a difference, based on how your home is built and used.

We do not carry out remedial works, but many of the solutions can be undertaken by the homeowner, or the report we provide can easily be interpreted by a tradesperson.

Common Issues Revealed by Thermal Survey
A thermal bridge is an area where heat can escape more easily through surrounding materials. Here you can see cold air getting behind the plasterboard, causing cold spots where it has been fixed.
Poorly installed or aging loft insulation can cause cold spots to occur. Here loft insulation has not been laid right to the edge of the loft space. Compaction of loft insulation can also cause a reduction in its performance.
Windows will naturally be colder that the surrounding walls. However this image shows an inconsistent temperature around the frame. This could be poor installation, frame rot if timber or weathered sealing.
Here we see excessive levels of draught around the lower and left hand side of the door indicate either new seals required or the door adjsuting for it to close more evenly. Also note the cold air coming through the plug socket.
